It’s probably too late to get it shipped in time for Sunday’s Buffalo wing feast, but Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youklis and brother Scott, executive chef at San Francisco’s Maverick restaurant, have come out with a new hot sauce that can be purchased on the restaurant’s web site.
“Some chilies were on their way out, so we roasted them, added vinegar and called it a hot sauce,” reads the description. “Well, it has caught on and the best news is – it can go on anything.”
That would include Scott’s Buffalo Chicken Tenders with Blue Cheese Coleslaw.
“Youk’s Hot Sauce” is available for $10 a bottle, $20 for one autographed by Kevin.
