Girls’ basketball players of the week

Alana Gilmer, Archbishop Williams — In an upset win over St. Mary’s on Friday, Gilmer had 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Margarita Delaporta, Blue Hills — In a win over Diman, the senior scored 27 points, including the 1,000th of her career.

Kia Fernandes and Amber Filkins, Wareham — In a win over Bourne, Fernandes had 16 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 blocks to lead the Vikings. In the same game, Filkins scored 12 points to top the 1,ooo-point mark.

Brianna Rudolph, St. Mary’s — The senior had 22 points in the Spartans’ win over Bishop Fenwick.

Deidra Newson and Diondra Woumn, Lynn English — Newson, the senior guard, posted a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds to help her team remain unbeaten against Peabody on Tuesday. On Thursday, Woumn led the way with 24 points and five steals.


Anna Kelly, Lexington — The sophomore guard registered 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 steals in a win over Reading.

Grace Geary, North Quincy — Geary had 22 points and nine rebounds in 3-point victory over Scituate.

Haleigh Welch, Hingham — With 24 points, the senior helped Hingham earn its third win of the season.

Angela DeBruzzi, Concord-Carlisle — The senior guard had 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists in a win over Waltham.

Norma Waggett, Saugus — The senior scored 30 points in a win against Triton.

Justine Gaziano, Natick — The sophomore guard had 28 points in a win over Milton.

Sherice Jenkins, Boston English — In a win over West Roxbury, the junior point guard had an impressive 26 points and 23 rebounds.

Catherine Louis, Brockton — The junior center scored 24 points in a win over Whittier.

Nicole Jorgensen, Quincy — Jorgensen posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Silver Laker.

Tiphani Harris, Revere — The junior forward recorded two double-doubles this week. In a win over Lynn Classical, she had 14 points and 18 rebounds, and she followed that performance with 14 points and 15 rebounds against Salem.
