And we’re not talking submarine sandwiches here.
Uruguay’s Luis Suarez, who has a history of biting opponents (really), appeared to take a bite out of the shoulder of Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini in the 79th minute of Uruguay’s 1-0 World Cup victory Tuesday.
We can’t grab the highlights for rights reasons, but this picture appears to show bite marks on Chiellini’s left shoulder.
The odd thing is that Suarez, considered one of the world’s best players, seems to have a history of doing this. Below is footage from a 2010 incident in which Suarez was suspended 10 games for biting Branislav Ivanovic.
Because it’s the internet, someone cleverly made a Vine of that bite, today’s accused bite, and one other incident of Suarez baring his chompers:
If the biting thing isn’t bad enough, Suarwz is also an accused racist, having been banned for seven matches while at Liverpool for racially taunting Patrice Evra of Manchester United “at least 10 times.’’ People are understandably up in arms about the World Cup incident, which could lead to discipline if proven.

Because if you’re not the guy getting bitten it’s kind of funny, some memes have emerged.

We’ll end on this one.
