The Boston College Eagles are hoping they can land a recruit with a name familiar with New England football fans.
Thad Moss, son of former Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss, has received an offer to play for BC, according to Justin Rowland of EagleAction.com. Thad tweeted that he had gotten an offer from the school as well, while also saying he’s received an offer from North Carolina State.
Thad, a junior tight end and defensive lineman, currently plays for Victory Christian Center High School in Charlotte, N.C., where he is coached by his father, the team’s associate head coach.
Judging by this photo from his Twitter account, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in his ability to make big plays. The same picture is the current avatar of Randy’s verified account.
Thad Moss previously went to school in Rhode Island, where he played for Lincoln High School as a sophomore in 2013. Below is a video of a few of his highlights playing for Lincoln from MaxPreps.com.
Thad’s father, Randy, played parts of four seasons with the Patriots, catching 259 passes for 3,904 yards and 50 touchdowns, including a single-season record 23 in 2007, and is regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time.
