Jerry Remy, the Red Sox color analyst on NESN broadcasts, announced via Twitter Tuesday afternoon that he will miss the team’s upcoming road trip because he isn’t feeling well.

Remy has been absent from the booth since last Friday. He will miss tonight’s home game against the Rays as well as Wednesday’s series finale. The Red Sox begin a 10-game road trip Friday that takes them to Toronto, Oakland and Seattle. They return home May 19.

Steve Lyons will fill in for Remy on the road trip, a NESN spokesman confirmed. Remy is also scheduled to take an in-season vacation at the end of May. Dennis Eckersley will fill in alongside play-by-play voice Don Orsillo then.
