This Boston band’s Bowie-themed tribute to the Patriots special teams unit is amazing

Boston folk group Brothers McCann, which performed at Gillette Stadium prior to Saturday afternoon’s playoff game between the Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, sang an impromptu Patriots-themed tribute to David Bowie that was truly “special.’’

Posted on Facebook by a Patriots employee, the group’s ode to the special teams squad, “No Pressure,’’ celebrates the strong kickoffs of Stephen Gostowski and speedy downfield coverage of special teams captain Matthew Slater to the tune of “Under Pressure’’ by Queen and David Bowie.

Plenty of performers have sung the praises of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and Rob Gronkowski, but this has to be the frst song to shout out punter Ryan Allen or special teams coordinator Joe Judge.
