Catch the Holiday Pops at Symphony Hall

The BSO’s Boston Pops once again put on their holiday show this Dec. 2 through 24.

Led by Keith Lockhart, the Pops take the stage for dozens of performances from Dec. 2 through Dec. 24.

One of Boston’s favorite holiday traditions returns this year — the Holiday Pops at Symphony Hall. Led by Keith Lockhart, the Pops take the stage for dozens of performances from Dec. 2 through Dec. 24, playing recognizable holiday classics, including a traditional Pops singalong.

During the holidays, the Pops skip their typical repertoire of light classical songs and popular hits, swapping them for a jubilant take on orchestral holiday music performed in a decked-out Symphony Hall.

For over 100 years, the Pops have put on relaxed, cabaret-style orchestral performances featuring all kinds of music — classical, jazz, indie rock, and even film scores, for “people who don’t know they like orchestras,” says Lockhart on the Pops’ website.

The Pops will also hold a handful of kid-friendly matinees, with shorter run times, no intermission, post-concert snacks, and the chance to meet Santa himself. Children under two receive free admission to all matinees.
