In December, everyone can use a little warmth …and a little soul.
Melt, the New York-based indie-soul band, is bringing its first-ever headlining tour to Brighton Music Hall, with plenty of what the band calls its “existential pop songs with ethereal jam-sections…somewhere between soul and psychedelia.”
Formed in 2017, Melt is touring off its full-length debut, “West Side Highway,” a six-track EP released in February.
“Everyone told us it sounds like we’ve matured––who knows what that means, we still hold hands when we cross the street,” Melt says on its website.
Indeed Melt has grown, although it didn’t take much for the band to grow its popularity.
Melt found early success on its first single, “Sour Candy,” which went viral, peaking at #5 on the U.S. Billboard “Viral 50” chart.
As for its latest release, the group describes it as “a collection of six songs that make you want to dance alone in your bedroom.”
“But like you, the band’s ready to get back together and thrive off the energy of their biggest crowds yet,” Melt says.
Better bring your dancing shoes.
