‘Summer in the City’ series brings music, movies to Boston Harbor Hotel

Soak up the evening summer sun and take in live music and classic movies at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Summer in the City series. 

Back for its 23rd year, the series will bring a variety of music to Rowes Wharf several days a week.

Every Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. will be Pop Soul Tuesdays, followed by Rat Pack Wednesdays, and Blues Barge Thursdays. Guests can enjoy the complimentary live entertainment with views of the Boston Harbor every week from June 9 through August 26.

Tuesday’s performances encompass a mix of current and classic soul, according to the Boston Harbor Hotel. Rat Pack Wednesdays are a tribute to the original Rat Pack and will offer a modern spin on the “classics of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and more.” Thursday’s Blues Barge is the foundation of the series, according to the hotel, and welcomes local and national blues artists.

Guests looking for food on top of the show can dine at the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille on the patio, according to a release. 

Those looking for entertainment on Friday nights can take in a classic movie starting at dusk. The program is back for the first time in two years. This year’s offerings include “ET,” “Grease,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “Jaws,” and “Dune.”

All events are open to the public.
