After multiple delays, comedian Trevor Noah, of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah fame, will finally be back in the Boston area this April.
Originally set to play an arena show at TD Garden in 2022, Noah instead will perform a series of 12 sets at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston and the Chevalier Theatre in Medford from April 5-16.
So far, Noah has written and starred in 11 comedy specials, the most recent of which, Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia, is on Netflix, along with his 2017 special Afraid of the Dark.
Named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2018, Noah is known for his deadpan stand-up, his satirical comedy, and his poignant political commentary. He succeeded Jon Stewart as The Daily Show’s host in 2015 before departing in December 2022.
Because tickets from the canceled TD Garden show will be honored for the various shows, a few of the sets are already sold out. However, there are still seats available on both the Wilbur and Chevalier’s websites, as well as numerous tickets via the secondary market.
This show was rescheduled from its original date of Feb. 4, 2022. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at the 2023 event.
