Provincetown celebrates its 5th annual Pride celebration with parties, shows, a Town Hall rally, a 5K, and more the first weekend of June. The town at the tip of Cape Cod is one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly destination in the U.S., harboring a strong artist hamlet and gay community since the mid-20th century. In the 2010 census, the town had the highest rate of same-sex couples in the country, and you can find plenty of gay bars, drag shows, artist galleries, restaurants, and shops lining lively Commercial Street.

Provincetown Pride this year kicks off on Friday, June 3 with a morning yoga class by Outermost Yoga and a dedication of Rainbow Crosswalk, a recently painted set of rainbow crosswalks in Lopes Square to symbolize pride and inclusion. Other weekend events include the Queer Comedy Showcase at Town Hall on Saturday night presented by the Provincetown Business Guild and Fruit Basket Comedy, and the Feet Over Front Street 5K Run and Walk on Sunday morning. The weekend wraps up with the Full Spectrum Community Beach BBQ on Sunday afternoon.
