Get your snacks ready and gear up for the 47th Annual Boston SciFi Film Festival & Marathon. Watch short, documentary, and feature films like “Beyond the Wasteland,” “Out of Sync,” and “Elulu.” The annual festival takes place over the course of five days, and you can choose how you watch: snuggled under blankets at home or out at the Somerville Theatre.

There will be about 30 curated and submitted films, 10 groups of shorts, totalling between 50 to 70 films. “The Marathon” starts at noon on Feb. 21 and ends 24 hours later — wrapping up the festival in a true all-nighter fashion.

After purchasing a ticket, you can access the short and ”Marathon” films from home on the festival’s app.

Individual tickets are available for Festival films and Shorts packages. They are $15 for live, $10 for virtual. After a virtual film/show has been initially released, individual tickets are good for one screening anytime during the festival. A ticket for just “The Marathon” is $75. An All-Access Festival Pass includes all features, events, and access to “The Marathon” for $175. Patrons of the Somerville Theatre are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a 72-hour negative test result to enter the facility
