A Boston tradition is back. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, city officials lit the Copley Square Christmas tree last year without spectators. However, this year the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Copley Square will once again ring in the holiday season at the annual Copley Square Tree Lighting. Guests can expect appearances by Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Santa. Musical performances will include the Boston Children’s Chorus, Berklee College of Music’s Esperanza Delgado, the Boston Pops Esplanade Brass Ensemble, and vocalist Ackeem Hill. Light festive refreshments will be provided by H.P. Hood, LLC.
