The Provincetown International Film Festival celebrates its 24th year

The five-day cinematic celebration is lower Cape Cod's largest cultural event.

The Provincetown International Film Festival returns to Cape Cod for its 24th year of showcasing independent narrative, documentary, animated features, shorts, panel discussions, and special events.

A non-profit arts organization dedicated to showcasing new achievements in independent film and honoring the work of emerging as well as acclaimed directors, producers, and actors, The Provincetown Film Festival has permanently established itself as the largest cultural event in lower Cape Cod and Provincetown’s premier cultural event. The five-day event attracts 10,000-plus film-goers, movie buffs, and arts patrons and showcases over 80 American and international independent narrative, documentary and animated features and shorts, as well as panel discussions and special events. This year’s lineup includes Filmmaker of the Edge honoree Luca Guadagnino, Next Wave Award recipients Jenny Slate and Bowen Yang, and a Special 50th Anniversary presentation of John Waters’ “Pink Flamingos.”
