Participate in a spicy food challenge at Newton’s Baramor

Are you willing to “suffer for charity?”

In partnership with Project Citizenship, Newton’s Baramor will host a three-course dinner with dishes from Colombia, Mexico, and Peru to help raise awareness about the immigrant community’s experience in Massachusetts and the United States. Dishes include empanadas, ajiaco soup, and potatoes a la huancaína. In addition, guests can participate in a spicy food challenge by consuming wings or cauliflower bites covered in increasingly spicy hot sauces. For each level completed, Baramor will donate money to Project Citizenship. If the sauces are too hot to handle, shot glasses of milk will be available for participants, naturally, for the price of a donation.
