Wild turkeys can fly and run pretty fast. According to the Fish and Wildlife Service, they can reach speeds of up to 18 mph on the ground, and 50 mph in flight. This is your chance to be like one of them, albeit slower!

Boston Road Runners (BRR), a nonprofit focused on community building through runs, is organizing their annual Thanksgiving-time race on the morning of Nov. 20. Register online through Nov. 14 at 12:00pm and you’ll receive a running bib in the mail. The race begins at the Christian Herter Park at 8:00 am, and will go along the banks of the Charles River in Cambridge until 11:00 am. Just watch out for the parking and baggage situation
