Plane collides with parked truck on Logan Airport taxiway

An Alaska Airlines plane heading to Portland, Ore.collided with a parked de-icing truck at Logan Airport on Monday afternoon, Massport officials said.

No one was inside the truck at the time of the accident and the collision caused no injuries, Massport spokesperson Jennifer Mehigan said.

A statement released by Alaska Airlines said the 166 passengers on Flight 33, which was scheduled to depart at 4:20 p.m., returned to the boarding gate after the collision and passengers were to be put on other flights. The collision caused minor damage to the plane’s left wing.
