Mapping ski history

Did you know it cost $46 for a two-day lift ticket at Stowe during the 1984-85 season? Or that…well, Sunday River used to look like this in 1969?

This collection of historic skiing brochures from is a fascinating walk through skiing’s past, both in New England and beyond. The extensive collection is a cool way to revisit skiing culture as far back as the 50’s. It’s a great site in which to immerse yourself and learn about how much the sport has changed over the years, and drive down memory lane.

Of course, it it does one thing only that’s of utmost importance, it reminds us that neon was a bad, bad idea. Nice headband.
