Looking for something with a little speed this weekend?

Check into the Four Seasons Boston and take one of their Porsches for a joy ride around Boston.

Thanks to a new program with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotels, guests of participating hotels can get behind the wheel of four different Porsche cars — including the new Panamera S E-Hybrid, the 911 S Cabriolet or Cayenne GTS — for a two-hour, unaccompanied drive.

The program ends this Saturday so you’ll need to make plans fast, but with such a beautiful weekend on the horizon, why not put the top down and head to the coast for a couple hours?

I did, and it was well worth the ride.

After weaving my way through Boston traffic in the white convertible Porsche 911 S Cabriolet, I headed North to Essex. First stop: lobster rolls and fried clams at JT Farnham’s. Since you only have two hours to spend with the dream car, I suggest going early so you don’t waste time standing in line at this New England favorite fish shack.

Instead of hopping back on the interstate to head back to Boston, I took the Porsche around the curves of the back roads through Marblehead and along Route 133, near Manchester by the Sea. After all, sports cars are made for hugging the roads, so you might as well enjoy a little scenic driving before turning over the keys.

Keep in mind that the 2-hour time limit can be tough if there’s traffic, but the people at Porsche are pretty understandable with elements outside of your control. If you do get stuck, just remember: you’re in a brand new Porsche. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotels is allowing guests to get behind the wheel of Porsche cars for two-hour, soul-stirring journeys. The Porsche program is part of Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star Hotel offerings.

The entire program runs through the end of the year, but it’s only offered in Boston until Saturday. Then the Porsche cars move to another hotel. There are five Four Seasons hotels around the United States — in Boston, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, and Scottsdale — participating in this program.
