It certainly sounds like it could be the setting of a horror film: A spooky trail on a farm in New Hampshire was just named among the best haunted attractions in America by USA Today readers.

Haunted Overload, located on DeMeritt Hill Farm in Lee, N.H., ranked No. 6 on a list of the best haunted attractions in America released earlier this month as part of USA Today’s 2018 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards. It was the only New England haunted attraction on the list. (The No. 1 haunted attraction in America was the Lewisburg Haunted Cave in Lewisburg, Ohio.)

“Haunted Overload in New Hampshire does an excellent job of providing various levels of scares, so everyone can enjoy,” the publication wrote. “They pull out all the stops for Haunted Overload, a fully immersive (and terrifying) haunted trail through the New England woods.”

For the 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards lists, USA Today travel experts select 20 nominees in topics that range from food to lodging, destinations to things to do, and then ask readers to cast votes to determine the top 10.
