Delta is adding a nonstop flight from Boston to Edinburgh, Scotland

The new service will begin in May.

If touring Scotland’s Edinburgh Castle is on your list of things to do next year, Delta is giving you one more way to get there.

The airline is adding a nonstop flight route from Boston’s Logan International Airport to Edinburgh Airport in Scotland beginning May 23, 2019. The flights will operate on the following schedule:

Boston Logan International Airport to Edinburgh Airport

  • Departs BOS at 10:15 p.m.
  • Arrives EDI at 9:25 a.m. (next day)

Edinburgh Airport to Boston Logan International Airport

  • Departs EDI at 10:55 a.m.
  • Arrives BOS at 1:02 p.m.

Passengers will take a Boeing 757 that seats 168 passengers and offers Wi-Fi, free entertainment screens, power ports, and complimentary beverages, snacks, and meals, according to the company.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for Delta in Boston as we grow our network, build on our customer experience enhancements, and deepen our community footprint,” said Charlie Schewe, director of New England sales, in a statement. “Our new Edinburgh service is only the latest way we’re growing Boston’s direct access to international destinations around the world.”


Earlier this month, Delta announced it will launch a nonstop flight from Boston to Lisbon on May 23 as well.
