If you are heading to Logan Airport on Friday, expect lots of company.
Friday will be the busiest day for air travel at Boston’s Logan Airport and airports nationwide, according to a statement from the Transportation Security Administration. The TSA expects to screen more than 2.7 million people across the country on Friday alone.
In fact, air travel has increased nationwide this holiday season, the TSA said, with 6 percent more travelers taking to the skies than last year during the same time period. U.S. airports expect an average of 2.3 million travelers per day this holiday season, and Logan itself will see about 70,000 passengers per day.
If you are traveling by air this holiday season, the TSA recommended arriving at the airport two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights.
