Bostonians eager to spend time in Fort Lauderdale this fall and winter can now book a nonstop flight from Boston to the Florida city aboard Southwest Airlines.

The low-cost, Dallas-based carrier is adding a nonstop Saturday flight to its weekly schedule beginning Nov. 9. The flight will operate through Jan. 4, according to a Southwest representative. If the route is popular, the airline will consider adding more nonstop options between Logan Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the representative told in an email.

Southwest currently offers daily access between Boston and Fort Lauderdale, but the new Saturday service will be the first nonstop flight between the two cities for the carrier. Passengers will travel on a Boeing 737.

Travelers can currently book flights on Southwest through Jan. 5, 2020.
