If you’re planning a New England getaway with your pooch in tow, four New England spots are among the best in the country when it comes to accommodations for pets, according to Conde Nast Traveler.
The publication named 16 hotels nationwide as standout spots for sleeping with your pup, and three are in Massachusetts and one is in Vermont. They are XV Beacon and The Liberty Hotel, both in Boston; AWOL in Provincetown, Mass.; and the Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont.
At XV Beacon, pups are pampered with a personalized plate of peanut butter treats, a doggie-bed turndown service, and an in-room dog dining menu, while at The Liberty Hotel, four-legged friends get a personalized dog bone, sleep in a Liberty dog bed, and mingle with other canines during the hotel’s “Yappier Hour,” according to the publication.
Provincetown’s AWOL, located near dog-friendly Herring Cove Beach, has five designated rooms for dogs that are “quite the hot commodity,” according to the publication. At the Lodge at Spruce Peak, canine companions are treated chew toys and a plush bed.
