JetBlue is celebrating a “new year of Boston growth” by adding flights between Logan International Airport and more than a dozen U.S. cities in 2020, according to the airline.
On Wednesday, JetBlue, Logan Airport’s largest carrier, announced its plans to offer up to 10 daily roundtrips between Boston and New York’s La Guardia Airport, boost service between Boston and Austin, Texas, and increase frequencies to 15 other destinations in the new year.
“JetBlue continues to grow as we attract more and more customers on the important route between Boston and New York with our low fares and award-winning service,” said Scott Laurence, head of revenue and planning for JetBlue, in a press release. “This momentum continues throughout our Boston network as we add more flights on a variety of routes to meet the needs of travelers looking for the best in comfort and customer service.”
With the added La Guardia flights, there will be up to 22 JetBlue flights daily between Logan Airport and New York through La Guardia, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport, according to the airline. The added service to La Guardia will take place on an Embraer 190 aircraft.
In the summer, JetBlue will offer up to three daily roundtrip flights between Logan Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas.
“The added daily flight will offer travelers a new morning departure from the Texas capital to New England, as well as an evening return,” according to the statement. “Together, with the two additional daily trips, travelers will have more options than ever to choose from when flying between the Lone Star State and Boston.”
