This spring, American Airlines is making it easier for Bostonians to escape to the popular beaches of South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier is adding nonstop seasonal service to the leisure destination beginning April 10. Hilton Head Island was named the No. 1 island in the U.S. in Conde Nast Traveler‘s 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards survey.

“As more customers choose to travel to warm weather markets, American looks forward to beginning new seasonal service connecting Boston to the renowned beaches and golf courses on and around Hilton Head Island,” said Jim Moses, vice president of northeast hubs and gateways for American Airlines, in a statement. “Customers can book confidently knowing American now offers more flexibility and choice than ever before.”

The Saturday flights from Logan International Airport to Hilton Head Island Airport, offered through May 29, will be operated with an E-175 aircraft featuring 12 first-class seats and 64 seats in the main cabin. The flights will depart Boston at 11 a.m.

“This added seasonal route from Boston provides another opportunity for travelers to fly right to the island and is a continuation of a long-standing partnership with American Airlines,” said Jon Rembold, airports director for Beaufort County and of the Hilton Head Island Airport, in a statement.

Tickets are available on the American Airlines website.
