Delta Air Lines is expanding service at Logan International Airport this fall by adding routes to three North American cities, the airline announced Friday.

The Atlanta-based airline will launch service between Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth, Charlotte, and Toronto beginning Oct. 4.

The carrier will also add service between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Toronto.

“As demand grows, our commitment to Boston and New York is stronger than ever, which is why we’re continuing to invest in these communities to offer more nonstops and greater connectivity to top markets,” said Joe Esposito, senior vice president of network planning for Delta, in a statement. “While the global recovery from the pandemic is underway and more travelers take to the skies, Delta is ready to keep delivering the exceptional service and products that our customers expect.”

Customers on the twice-daily service between Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth will fly on an Airbus A220-100, and those on the three-times-daily service between Boston and Charlotte and Boston and Toronto will fly on an Embraer 175 aircraft.

Delta also announced aircraft upgrades on certain flights out of Boston.

Boston customers flying nonstop to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will be upgraded to an A220-100 aircraft beginning Oct. 4, the airline announced. The 109-seat aircraft has a “modernized, spacious onboard experience” geared toward business travelers, according to Delta.

The carrier plans to expand service on its A220 aircraft to other Northeast business markets this fall, including New York and Boston to Raleigh-Durham, N.C.

Beginning July 7, Delta will also use its Boeing 757 for all cross-country flights between Boston and Los Angeles, which is equipped with the lie-flat Delta One cabin.

This month, Delta added new flights from Boston to popular leisure destinations Hilton Head, N.C., Traverse City, Mich., and Bangor, Maine, as well as weekend service to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Norfolk, Va.

Delta is also launching nonstop daily service between Boston and Iceland on Thursday.

Delta just ranked No. 1 in customer satisfaction in a J.D. Power 2021 North America Airline Satisfaction Study.
