Boston police officer shoots suspect
A man was shot in the shoulder during a struggle between police officers at Washington Street in Boston tonight, according to a Boston police official.
Several police officers responded to 1850 Washington St. at around 7:32 p.m. for a report of a person with a gun, said David Estrada, police spokesman.
The suspect was transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Estrada said.
The suspect, who has not been identified, tried to flee the scene but was apprehended after a foot pursuit, said Estrada. During the struggle with the suspect, an officer’s firearm was discharged, striking the suspect, Estrada said.
