Overhead wire problem disrupts Blue Line service

A problem with an overhead wire near the Blue Line’s Airport Station led to service being suspended between Suffolk Downs and Maverick stations from 7 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. today, a T spokesman.

Shuttle bus service was provided while crews worked to correct the problem, MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said.

Shuttle buses will also replace Blue Line service between Orient Heights and Wonderland Station, from approximately 9:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. Friday and from the beginning of service until 3 p.m. on Saturday, he reminded riders.

Suffolk Downs, Beachmont, Revere Beach, and Wonderland stations will be closed at those times.
