Boston police ask for help in locating hit-and-run driver who injured woman

Boston police today released surveillance photos they hope will help identify a hit-and-run driver who struck a woman in Roxbury last week, leaving her critically injured.

The 23-year-old woman was struck around 3 a.m. last Saturday as she crossed the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Shirley Street. She was taken to Boston Medical Center where she remains in critical condition, police said.

Police said the suspect vehicle was described by witnesses as a gray or silver Chevy Impala with a spoiler on the rear. Police believe the vehicle may have damage to the front end passenger side or passenger side mirror.
