The holiday weekend is expected to be sunny, warm, and perfect for outdoor pursuits, though forecasters say there’s a chance of some rain today, Sunday, and Monday.
Isolated showers are expected this afternoon, but overall the weather will be pleasant, National Weather Service meteorologist Charlie Foley said.
“Tomorrow is the pick of the holiday weekend,’’ he said, predicting sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s.
The temperatures Sunday will also be in the 80s, but there are chances of rain and thunderstorms, he said. The rain will usher in humidity that will stay through Monday.
Rain and thunderstorms are also possible Monday, but the skies should be clear by the evening’s fireworks displays, he said.
“I don’t think the weather will be a factor for the fireworks. there’s just a slight chance of showers earlier in the evening,’’ Foley said.
