Another Whitey book in the works

Former Globe writers Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neill have signed a deal to write a biography of James “Whitey’’ Bulger for the Crown Publishing Group at Random House. The duo co-wrote “Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob.’’ The new Whitey book doesn’t have a name or a publication date yet. It all depends on Whitey’s trial.
