Mary Pawlenty, the wife of Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty, is in New Hampshire today and tomorrow campaigning for her husband.
Pawlenty, the former Minnesota Governor, has been focusing heavily on Iowa in advance of the Ames straw poll Aug. 13. The Union Leader reported recently that a New Hampshire state representative withdrew his support from Pawlenty because Pawlenty had not been active in New Hampshire.
In a schedule that was announced this morning, Mary Pawlenty will be attending four events today and tomorrow. She is scheduled to hold meet and greets today in Keene and Amherst, N.H., followed by an 8:30 a.m. event tomorrow at a Manchester restaurant and a tour of the Greater Nashua YMCA.
Pawlenty is not the only candidate’s spouse campaigning in New Hampshire. Ann Romney, wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney, held several events in the state last week.
