One injured in car-dump truck crash in Marlborough

A Marlborough woman was flown to the hospital by LifeFlight after the car she was driving collided with a dump truck, police said.

The accident occurred at 7:58 a.m. at the intersection of Hosmer and Steven streets. The sole occupant of the car, an unidentified female, was removed from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life and taken to the University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester, Marlborough Police Sergeant Richard Gaudette said.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured. The incident is under investigation by Marlborough police and the State Police reconstruction team.
