$32m lottery ticket sold in Dorchester; owner hasn’t stepped forward

Somebody who bought a ticket at a Dorchester store won Friday’s $32 million Mega Million jackpot — but no one has yet come forward to claim it, a Massachusetts State Lottery spokeswoman said.

The winning ticket — which matched all five Mega Million numbers and the Mega Ball — was sold at a Tedeschi Food store on Neponset Avenue. The lucky numbers: 5-15-53-54-56 and Mega Ball 22.

The winner has up to a year to claim the prize — but usually, the spokeswoman said, lottery winners don’t wait nearly that long.

When the winner comes forward, he or she has a choice of a $22.9 million lump sum upfront or $32 million in installments over 26 years.
