Applications for the Cambridge Arts Council’s 2012 grant program, which funds arts initiatives directly benefiting the people of Cambridge, will be available Sept. 1 on the council’s website.
Typically ranging from $300 to $2,000, the grants are targeted at development and presentation of art in various disciplines, promotion of arts understanding and participation, and the purchase of tickets to professional cultural events for Cambridge children. Applicants must live or work in Cambridge, or apply in partnership with a Cambridge sponsor.
The council will hold a free information session about the program tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cambridge City Hall Annex. A grant-writing workshop Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at the annex is by reservation. The application deadline is Oct. 14 at noon.
