Arnold Worldwide, a large ad agency based in Boston, said it is opening a Shanghai office, a move prompted by growing business, including Arnold’s selection as global agency of record for the Dell Inc., a company perhaps best known for desk-top and laptop computers.
The Shanghai office also expects to help do global work for Brown-Forman, a wine-and-spirits company. Arnold creates ads for two Brown-Forman brands: Jack Daniel’s and Southern Comfort.
The office currently has 10 people and is expected to grow to about 30 people by the end of this year, Arnold said.
“Expanding into Asia has always been a part of Arnold’s micronetwork growth strategy, and after winning global assignments for a number of new clients, as well as extending our reach with existing clients, we’re thrilled to be opening in Shanghai—one of the most vibrant and vital markets in the world,’’ Andrew Benett, global chief executive of Arnold Worldwide, said in a statement.
