Pro-Obama, Democratic groups to convene in Boston next week

The multitude of groups aiming to help President Obama win reelection and the Democratic Party regain control of the House and expand its grasp on the Senate are meeting in Boston next week to begin making a joint pitch.

The Center of Public Integrity’ reports today that the leaders of six Democratic and liberal groups will participate in an Oct. 6 breakfast briefing with veteran fund-raisers and donors.

It will be held at the law offices of Bingham McKutcheon and feature speeches by Stephanie Schriock of EMILY’s List and David Brock of American Bridge 21ast Century.

“The Beantown breakfast is the first of several joint donor pitches this fall expected to be held in cities such as New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, say Democratic fund-raisers, some of whom are concerned about donor confusion,’’ said the story.
