Three people were transported to Winchester Hospital today after a two-car crash sent one of the vehicles into a pond in Woburn, police said.
Around 10 a.m. this morning, officers responded to Arlington Road where two southbound vehicles collided with each other after one tried to pass the other, said Woburn police spokesman Ralph Coakley.
The collision resulted in one of the cars jumping the curve and sliding into Horn Pond. The car had two passengers, and the passengers had already exited the vehicle by the time emergency personnel arrived.
The two passengers and driver of the other vehicle were transported to Winchester Hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released, Coakley said.
Both operators were cited with driving to endanger, police said.
