Ipswich driver charged after hitting girl on bicycle
A man who was leaving his Ipswich home when his car hit an 11-year-old bicyclist is being detained on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement order, local police said.
At about 7 a.m., Wanderson Dasilva-Neto, 35, was pulling out of his 88 High St. home when he turned right and collided with a girl on her bicycle, said Ipswich Police Lieutenant Daniel Moriarty.
The girl was transported to Beverly Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to his ICE detainer order, Dasilva-Neto faces charges that include operating without a license, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to use care.
