The juxtaposition of the back of Fenway Park and the sign for the nearby House of Blues on Lansdowne Street said it all about the spirits of the Fenway faithful in recent days. After the team frittered away a comfortable lead in the wild card race, it has all come down to one game tonight. Depending on how the Sox play — and the Rays — the Sox’ season could be over , they could be headed for the playoffs, or they might have to play a one-game tiebreaker with the Rays.
