A 17-year-old Needham girl was rescued by a passerby this morning when her car went off the road and into Rosemary Lake, officials said.
Around 7:15 a.m., the unidentified teenager lost control of her car on Rosemary Street and ended up partly submerged in the lake, said Deputy Fire Chief Tom Conroy. A man who observed the accident stepped in and got the girl out of the car.
“She was fine, just a little shaken up,’’ Conroy said.
Officials are unsure whether wet road conditions or speed contributed to the accident. The teenager was released to her father.
