James Taylor to appear in ‘A Christmas Carol’

James Taylor as Bob Cratchit? Yes. The Berkshire Theatre Group says JT – and his family – will appear in the community theatre’s annual production of the Charles Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol,’’ from Dec. 17-30 at the Colonial Theater in Pittsfield. The show is adapted by Eric Hill, who will co-direct with E. Gray Simons III. Taylor will play Cratchit, Scrooge’s abused, underpaid clerk, while Taylor’s wife, Kim, will play – naturally – Mrs. Cratchit. The couple’s sons, Henry and Rufus, will be in the chorus. Of working with Taylor, Hill said, “I know that James will bring his inherent charm and gentleness to bear in his portrayal of Bob Cratchit, a good and unpretentious man.’’
