Having a conversation with family members about what they want to happen when they are nearing the end of their life is never easy. But the folks at Engage with Grace, a nonprofit focused on improving end-of-life care through better communication say there is no better time than now. Or, literally, this holiday weekend.
They’re asking people to use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to talk with loved ones about how they want to be cared for if they have a terminal illness and who they want to be making decisions on their behalf. They offer this handy five-question guide.
To support others in this effort, the group is asking people to tweet about their conversations using the hashtag #EWG. You can also share your story online here.
