Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture says the chain will open its first upscale shop, known as “Metro Living,’’ on Friday in Natick. The 5,000-square-foot space, next to the retailer’s new showroom, features a line of higher styled and finer quality upholstery and leather living room furniture, according to the company. Some of the brands include Better Homes & Garden Upholstery, Paula Dean, and Comfort Design, and the store will offer hundreds of fabric options for each item. Prices will range from about $1,000 to $3,000.
“Natick is the perfect location for our sleek new Metro Living store, which has higher end, but still value priced, contemporary leather and upholstery living room furniture,’’ Larry Rubin, Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture chief executive, said in a statement.
