Friends of the late Al Vega gathered at Lucky’s this week to celebrate the legendary Boston pianist’s many decades in the local jazz scene. Performers at the tribute show included Frank Sinatra cover guy Adam Herbert, local crooner Gian Faraone, drummer Ron Allman, bassist Dave Zox, keyboardist Ron Poster, and saxophonist Michael Moss. Vega played jazz piano all over town — and had a residency at Lucky’s — until he died last December. He was 90.
