Police looking for leads in fatal Hyde Park hit-and-run

Boston police are looking for leads concerning the hit-and-run crash that killed a young Somerville mother last Saturday in Hyde Park.

Officers responded to the scene in the area of River and Rosa streets around 4:45 a.m. The victim, Tinesha Julien, 22, suffered from head trauma and was transported to Boston Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

The car, a black Jeep Liberty with a New England Patriots wheel cover, was last seen driving down River Street towards Cleary Square. The operator did not stop to check on the victim after impact, police said.


Police released surveillance camera photos of the car on the department’s blog.
