Boston police released a sketch today of a suspect wanted for indecently assaulting and attacking two women in separate incidents in Roxbury this week.

Both attacks occurred on Camden Street within a 24-hour period, police said in a statement.

The first incident occurred at 6:45 p.m. Monday when the suspect grabbed a 17-year-old female by the neck. The victim screamed and fought the suspect and managed to escape, police said.

She described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his late teens, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a stocky build, medium complexion, flat nose, and a “baby face,’’ police said.

The second incident happened at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday when a man approached a female teenager and tried to drag her with him, police said. The victim fought him off and fled near Shawmut Avenue, police said.

The victim described the suspect as a black non-Hispanic male with a Haitian accent, approximately 25 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a brown top and light blue jeans, police said.

In both cases, the suspect commented on the physical appearance of the victims, police said.

Despite the variations in the two victims’ descriptions, police believe the attacker was the same man in both cases.

Police advised women walking alone in the area to be aware of their surroundings, carry a cellphone, and avoid walking late at night.
