Woman shot in Dorchester early Sunday has life-threatening injuries, according to police

A woman shot in a Dorchester apartment Sunday morning was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a man has been arrested in connection with the shooting, according to Boston police.

Jeremy Harrison, 28, of Boston, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, and failure to secure a firearm with a minor present. The victim, who is in her early twenties, was not identified by police.

The shooting happened inside an apartment on Arbutus Street just after 10 a.m. Sunday, Boston Police said. The victim was taken to the Boston Medical Center.
