Roxbury man charged with attacks on women in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, and Dorchester

A man already charged with committing two rapes within a day of each other in Jamaica Plain has been indicted for three more violent attacks on women, Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said today.

Tikee Beverly, 37, of Roxbury was indicted today on four counts of rape, four counts of aggravated rape, two counts of robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, a district attorney’s spokesman.

The indictment includes two attacks on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain that took place on Feb. 2 and Feb. 3, as well as three attacks spanning from September to January at Shirley Street in Dorchester, Kenilworth Street in Roxbury, and Arcadia Park in Dorchester.

Beverly will be arraigned Tuesday at Suffolk Superior Court for all five attacks.

He had been previously arraigned Feb. 5 for the Washington Street attacks after police recognized him from a description of the suspect and placed him under arrest, Coley’s office said. A not-guilty plea was automatically entered on his behalf.

Beverly is being held on $60,000 cash bail.

While the victims of any crime are urged to call 911 in an emergency, the survivors of sexual violence in Suffolk County can also call the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center’s 24-hour hotline at 800-841-8371. The center provides medical advocacy, legal services, counseling, and other services to victims of sexual assault.
